Robotics String Functions
Robotics String Functions enable communication between an In-Sight vision system and a robot controller in Vision-Guided Robotics (VGR Vision-Guided Robotics is an In-Sight Spreadsheet feature that uses machine vision to guide robot motion through Robotics String Functions and VGR commands.) applications using predefined VGR string commands exchanged over TCP/IP or other supported communication protocols. For more information about VGR applications, see VGR Application Overview.
These functions enable VGR workflows such as sending target positions, offsets, and status information to a robot, as well as receiving robot pose or state information for guided motion and inspection.
This section contains detailed descriptions of each Robotics String Function Functions are tools that are available in Spreadsheet for processing and analyzing acquisitions or other results. You can add functions to your Spreadsheet job to create tool chains and produce results for specific applications., including parameters, getters, and response behavior. For detailed instructions on how to use Robotics String Functions, see Using Robotics String Functions.
