Emulator License Configuration

In order to run In-Sight Vision Suite without an In-Sight system on the network, you need to enter a key to unlock the emulator software.

  1. Open In-Sight Vision Suite.

  2. In the System Settings, select Emulator.

  3. Select the Emulator Version and Emulator you want to use.

  4. Copy the Offline Programming Reference.

  5. Click Help... to open this Cognex support webpage: https://support.cognex.com/en/InsightEmulatorKey.

  6. Enter your company name and paste the Offline Programming Reference.

  7. Click Generate Key.

  8. Copy the generated Offline Programming Key and paste it into the Emulator Configuration.

  9. Click Start.

Note: If you want to use Edge Learning Edge Learning is an AI-based technology used for inspections and other judgement-based tasks, to help improve quality control and optimize efficiency. The training also happens on the vision system without any external graphical accelerator. tools in the emulator, you need a Cloud License. For more information, see Cloud License Configuration.
