Option Hotkey Description
Trigger

F5

Acquires one new image from the active In-Sight vision system.

Repeating trigger N/A

Acquires Images continuously (as fast as possible).

To compensate for different lighting conditions after each acquisition Acquisition is the process or result of the vision system acquiring a new image. the In-Sight 3D EasyBuilder automatically adjusts exposure time specifying an interval in milliseconds between acquisitions 0 to 10,000; default = 500. The delay is dependent on the amount of time the job takes to complete processing the image.

For example, if the Delay parameter is set to 5,000 milliseconds, the In-Sight vision system acquires an image every 5,000 milliseconds, if the job completes the image processing within 5,000 milliseconds. If not, the In-Sight vision system acquires an image as soon as the image processing is complete.

Live video

N/A

Displays a live video image to use when making adjustments to the lens and the field of view of the In-Sight vision system. To exit this mode, click the Live Video button in the context pane in the Set Up Image application step, click the Live Video button in the Job Display toolbar, or click on the image.

Note: This functionality is available in all Application Steps.
Go Online Ctrl+F8

Toggles the Online/Offline state of the active In-Sight vision system.

Result Queue Settings N/A

Opens a new dialog where you can configure the Result Queue settings.

  • Enable result queue: Tick the box to enable editing.

  • Mode:

    • Pass and Fail Results(default): For storing passing and failing results.

    • Fail Results: For storing failing results.

    • Pass Results: For storing passing results.

    • Separate Pass and Fail Results: For storing passing and failing results and allowing you to display the results together or separately within the filmstrip, depending on the toggle state of the Pass Results and Fail Results buttons.

      Note:

When you select the Separate Pass and Fail Results mode is:

      • disabling the Queue Size dropdown.

      • enabling the Pass Size and Fail Size dropdowns.

  • Queue size: in numeric value per result. You can save up to 20 results, depending on the In-Sight vision system's resolution and available RAM. If the specified Queue Size exceeds the In-Sight vision system's available RAM, the largest number of results possible are automatically allocated to the In-Sight vision system.

  • Pass size: in numeric value per result (Minimum = 1). The In-Sight vision system stores the number of failing results. When you select the Separate Pass and Fail Results from the Mode dropdown, the combined Pass Size and Fail Size do not exceed the Queue Size allocated to the In-Sight vision system.

  • Fail size: in numeric value per result (Minimum = 1). The In-Sight vision system stores the number of failing results. When you select the Separate Pass and Fail Results from the Mode dropdown, the combined Pass Size and Fail Size do not exceed the Queue Size allocated to the In-Sight vision system.

  • Queue offline results checkbox. Unchecked by default and collecting results only while online. Check if you want the results queue to collect results while offline.

  • Keep first results checkbox. Unchecked by default and lets the software discard the oldest image to make room for the new image. Check if you want to hold the queued images indefinitely once the queue is full, meanwhile software does not add new images to the queue.

  • Clear when placed in online mode checkbox. Checked by default and when enabled, the filmstrip is cleared every time the sensor is placed Online.
