Installation of the In-Sight OPC Classic Server
Microsoft .NET Framework
The In-Sight OPC Classic Server requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 SP1. This will be installed automatically if not detected on the target system.
Windows Service
The In-Sight OPC Classic Server (version 3.2.0+) runs as a Windows Service. Only one version of this service can be active at a time; if you have multiple versions of the In-Sight OPC Classic Server installed, only one will function at a time. To change the active server, run the In-Sight OPC Service Manager located at C:\Program Files\Cognex\In-Sight\In-Sight OPC Server X.X.X\OpcServiceManager.exe. This utility lists all versions of the In-Sight OPC Classic Server installed on your PC and allows you to set the active version.
Sample Projects
Sample Projects that demonstrate usage of the In-Sight OPC Classic Server from various programming and HMI environments are installed by default into the following location:

OPC Foundation Modules
The In-Sight OPC Classic Server installs and makes use of the following OPC Materials from the OPC Foundation.
- OPC Foundation Core Components 2.00
- OPC Foundation Data Access Automation 2.02
