3D Sensor Field Calibration

The DS Field Calibrator guides you through the process of configuring and calibrating one or more Cognex Displacement Sensors using a Cognex-supplied calibration target. The application supports three separate aspects of field calibration:

• Sensor Settings: Detect optional 3D acquisition parameters.
• Calibration: Generate mathematical transforms that correct for skewed image acquisitions and allow data from multiple 3D sensors to be stitched together.
• Validation: Acquire a new scan of your calibration target and generate a numerical value to represent the quality of your existing calibration data and determine if you need to recalibrate.

The application works for both linear motion stages and conveyor systems.
