Your PC must support specific versions of operating systems, Visual Studio installations and firmware on your VisionPro security key.
Supported Operating Systems
VisionPro 10.0 supports development and deployment on single or multiprocessor machines using native languages (English, Japanese, German, Korean, and Simplified Chinese) on the following 64-bit operating systems:
- Windows 10 Professional
- Win10 IoT Enterprise
Supported Visual Studio Development Environments
Creating VisionPro applications requires Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 C++ Compiler; version 16.9.4 installed with the following features:
- For MFC applications:
Desktop development with C++ workload
- C++ MFC for latest v142 build tools (x86 & x64) component
- For .NET applications - .NET Core 3.1
Security Key Firmware
VisionPro uses a USB security key attached to your computer to ensure the software is properly authorized for use. This release supports firmware version 4.12 for VisionPro security keys. Security keys with earlier firmware versions might appear to work but Cognex does not claim support for them.

If you are using a security key with a previous version of firmware, contact Cognex Support for assistance in upgrading to the latest version.
