Robot-Mounted and Stationary Camera
Robot-Mounted Camera (or Moving Camera)
You have to install the camera on the robot. You can load the part anywhere as far as the robot hand can reach the part. If you install too large gripper at the end of the robot hand, the robot hand can hide the view of the camera and you need to fix a longer stay to the arm which increases the vibration of the camera which can affect the alignment accuracy.
Stationary Camera
You have to install the camera on the frame of the robot station so the camera does not interfere with the gripper shape and robot arm vibration. You have to load the part in the FOV region of the camera. The working distance between the camera and the part is longer for the robot to pick up the part which can affect the alignment accuracy.
