Overview of PatMax RedLine

The purpose of this topic is to provide information about the basic functionality of the PatMax RedLine functions (5.1.0 - current firmware) job files. The default settings found in PatMax RedLine work well only in cases where the image and pattern to be trained have good contrast and little or no background clutter, such as a textured surface. Even in cases where the image is clear and uncluttered, it is still useful to optimize the function for speed, efficiency, and accuracy.

Note: The EasyBuilder version of PatMax RedLine hides certain key parameters which are necessary for optimizing performance. Therefore, this document only describes the Spreadsheet PatMax RedLine functions. The same principles can be applied to EasyBuilder by round-tripping into the spreadsheet to edit the EasyBuilder tool.

Note: The TrainPatMaxRedLine Color and FindPatMaxRedLine Color tools are not illustrated here, but the same principles apply as the greyscale PatMax RedLine functions.
