Measure Radius Measurement Tool - Settings Tab
Defines the minimum acceptable edge contrast score for the found edge (1-100; default = a Smart Setting that is automatically decremented until an edge is detected). This setting determines the tool’s edge detection sensitivity - its ability to discriminate between the feature and the background; use this setting in conjunction with the tool’s Graph to set an acceptable range.
Defines whether the edge scores will be normalized by the greyscale histogram of the Region. This parameter is useful for finding edges in a low contrast region. If the edges to be detected are expected to be only high contrast, disable this parameter.
- Checked (default): Normalize the score.
- Unchecked: Do not normalize the score.
Defines the transition of the edge (Dark to Light, Light to Dark or Both; default = Both). For increased accuracy and speed, specify the type of transition.
Defines the pixel distance (1 - 50; default = 3) over which an edge transition takes place. This setting helps filter noise from the image.
Defines how the tool discriminates between found edges, if there are multiple edges present (default = Best Score).
- Best Score = The edge feature with the highest contrast edge.
- First Edge = The edge feature closest to the start of the region’s scan direction.
- Last Edge = The edge feature furthest away from the start of the region’s scan direction.
