Managing In-Sight Easy Builder Jobs

After connecting to a device with the Easy Builder, you can start a new job or open an existing job, then save the job with the same name or a new name:

  1. Ensure that the In-Sight vision system is not Online.
  2. Click the New Job icon in the top left corner of the toolbar, click File > New Job in the menu, or press CTRL+N, all of which open the New Job dialog.
  3. In the New Job dialog, click Yes to clear all data from the current job.　If you want to save the current job data, click No in the dialog, press CTRL+S and complete the save process before starting a new job.
Note: The name of the new job does not display in the Current Job: field in the Sensor Information group box until you name and save the job.
  1. Ensure that the In-Sight vision system is not Online.
  2. Click Open Job icon in the top left corner of the toolbar, click File > Open Job in the menu, or press CTRL+O, all of which open the Open dialog.
  3. In the Open dialog, navigate to the job file.
  4. Double-click on the job, or select the file and click Open.
  5. The Open Job dialog appears. In the Open Job dialog, click Yes to clear all data from the current job. If you want to save the data, click No in the dialog, press CTRL+S and complete the save process before opening another job.

The name of the job you opened displays in the Current Job field.

  1. Use any of the following methods to open the Save As dialog:
    • Click the Save icon in the top left corner of the toolbar,
    • click File > Save Job in the menu,
    • click File > Save Job As in the menu,
    • press CTRL+S,
    • or press F12.
  2. In the dialog, navigate to the location where you want to save the job.
  3. Name the job.
  4. Click Save in the dialog.

To save the current job with the same name:

  • Click the Save icon in the top left corner of the toolbar,
  • click File > Save Job in the menu,
  • or press CTRL+S.

To save the current job with a new name:

  • click File > Save Job As in the menu,
  • or press F12.

Saving a job only saves the tool settings and the information specific to that job. The Easy Builder does not provide automatic save functionality, so any new changes will be lost if power is cycled on the In-Sight vision system.

If a job has not been saved before, the Save function operates identically to the Save As function, which opens the Save As dialog.
