What is Motion Detection?

Motion Detection allows you to set up your device to switch into active Presentation trigger mode for a period of time after it detects movement in the device's field of view.

Motion Detection settings become available only if the trigger type is set to Presentation. When Motion Detection is enabled, the device is not taking images, but monitors the background if the scene in its field of view is in motion or not.

If it is in motion, the device actively acquires images as per Presentation trigger mode. The Timeout setting allows you to specify the time period (in seconds) after which the device switches back to Motion Detection from active triggering, but this Timeout resets every time by motion or a good read.

With Motion Detection Sensitivity you can define the device's sensitivity to recognize motion. For example, if it is set to High, the device switches on active Presentation trigger mode even if the amount of motion in the field of view was small.
