Cognex Communications Card
Cognex Designer supports both the Cognex Vision Controller (Cognex Communication Card 24A) or a standalone PC I/O card (Cognex Communication Card 24C). Both of these Devices can also be simulated.
Note: The EtherNet settings of the Cognex Communication Card must be configured prior to adding the device to Cognex Designer. First run the "Cognex Comms Card Configurator" utility to configure the EtherNet settings on the card (located in the Windows Start Menu > Cognex > VisionPro > Utilities directory). All physically connected cards will be automatically displayed (e.g. CC24 followed by the card's serial number) under the Devices > Cognex Communications Card node of the Project Explorer. Simply right-click the card and select Connect to add the card as a Device.
After a card has been added, it can be configured for use in a Task and its API will be accessible via scripting in the Script Toolbox, and as tags in the Tag Browser.
