Setting the Contrast Threshold

The contrast threshold is the minimum contrast that a run‑time image may have and still be considered a symbol. This threshold is a fraction of the contrast of the symbol model.

Using the contrast threshold, your application can reject overly “dim” images such as badly degraded images of symbols or smudges that might be mistaken for symbols. Contrast Threshold, 2D symbols shows images that pass or fail depending on the contrast threshold.
